Uniform resit regulations for all resits due to force majeure
With help from Lijst VUUR rector magnificus Bert van der Zwaan has agreed to the the proposal of the university council that all students are allowed to have a resit according to the new Education and Examination Regulantions of 2016-2017. Before, faculties and degrees were allowed to decide this for themselves. Many students could then not do a resit if they had were unable to attend the first moment of examination because of illness.
Back then student had to make the first test during the resit moment, and was not offered a new resit moment unless a formal complaint was made to the Exam Committee. Of course, this was unwieldy and unfair. Therefore, we are pleased that students will now always be offered a resit moment: even if the first moment of examination has been missed due to illness or force majeure.
