“Motivated, enthusiastic and a real go-getter, that is how Annemarijn is described. Since the beginning of her bachelor Sociology, she already was active in the participation as a year representative. She also served on several committees of her study association and last year she was able to connect the participation and her study association in the position of Commissioner of Education within the board of her study association. In her free time she enjoys making music and running.
During her year on the board she has seen how important it is that students have the space and opportunity to have a good time at university. The well-being of the student plays a big role in this. The university has the opportunity and responsibility to offer students help where needed. When you feel good, studying is so much more fun. In addition, she puts a high value on active student life. Making associations more visible to international students, trained confidants for study associations and fair subsidies for all associations are matters she pays attention to.”
