“I want Utrecht University to be a place where everyone feels safe”

Chiara Stam

“Chiara is 22 years old and studies Media and Culture (and a little bit of Law). With her 1.50 meters she is certainly not the tallest, but she tries to compensate that length with a huge enthusiasm and a lot of ambition. Besides her studies, she is currently the chair of the student section of the Faculty Council Humanities and she is still active in the student association AKT, where she had the honour to fill in the role of chairin the fortieth board last year. In these two positions she has learned to look critically at policy. She also sings a lot and dances (mainly classical ballet for the curious reader).

With her enthusiasm and critical view Chiara wants to represent all students. Utrecht University should be a place where every student feels at home, regardless of cultural background, gender or sexuality. Chiara therefore wants to focus on the diversity and inclusion of the University. Chiara also thinks it is important that the participation is visible to everyone and that every student feels heard. Lijst VUUR gives a voice to every student. VUUR is committed to your education and our university. VUUR is for you. “
