Naast reactieve medezeggenschap waarbij de universiteitsraad op beleidsstukken van het college van bestuur reageert worden er ook regelmatig voorstellen door VUUR zelf gedaan.
VUUR is onder andere bezig geweest met:

Printkosten: studenten betalen meer dan kostprijs
Anoniem tentamineren & online feedback op tentamens
Gelijktrekken cursusinschrijfperiodes

Besides reacting to university policy put forward by the Executive Board (College van Bestuur), VUUR also takes the initiative to propose projects that will benefit students.
